The Moon Will Look Strange is the debut collection by horror and weird fiction writer Lynda E. Rucker, published by Karōshi Books. With eight reprints and three original stories plus an introduction by Steve Rasnic Tem, The Moon Will Look Strange collects nearly a dozen years of published fiction that originally appeared in venues including The Third Alternative, Black Static, Supernatural Tales and more.

The book is available through Amazon in both Kindle and paperback (see below).

Karōshi Books is run by award-winning editor Johnny Mains of Noose & Gibbet Publishing, Peter Mark May of Hersham Horror, and Cathy Hurren, a production editor at Routledge.

“Lynda Rucker’s great talent is that she is able to carefully build a perceptive portrayal of the real world and in the process of that exploration find that edge where the everyday dissolves and the numinous begins. Her compelling execution of this transition strongly echoes the work of Robert Aickman.” –from the introduction by Steve Rasnic Tem
